Could there be any-more perfect staycation destination than a week at Brockwood Hall on the edge of the stunningly beautiful Lake District National Park?

A fantastic holiday opportunity was available on when we looked on 06/12/17 for eXpectations members to relax in a 3-bedroom Scandinavian style chalet sleeping 6 people for 7-nights, with an arrival date of 14th September 2018, for just 78,000 points.

The historic Brockwood Hall dating from 1884, is situated in the Whicham Valley with its unspoilt woodlands, sparkling lakes, and the Black Combe mountain provides a stunning backdrop. This peaceful part of the Lake District is an ideal holiday destination for nature lovers and those looking to enjoy outdoor activities in stunning surroundings.

This resort has won many awards including TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence (2017) for its high-standard accommodation, superb facilities and friendly service.

They say first impressions last, this certainly is the case as you drive through the old stone gateway to approach the grand looking Manor House surrounded by lush green landscapes. The friendly staff are not the only ones to welcome you, as you will soon notice the beautiful, resident peacocks gracefully roaming the grounds.

Guests are invited to indulge in the awe-inspiring countryside by walking or cycling along nature trails before relaxing in the sauna and taking a dip in the heated indoor pool. The mystical haunted Muncaster Castle offers an array of activities guaranteeing a memorable experience. Wander around the castle to admire the fine architecture, rich history and discover the fascinating ghost stories of the 16th-Century jester, Tom Skelton. The Castle boasts 77-acres of ancient gardens and depending on the time of year, visitors can enjoy blooms of colour from the bluebell woods, rhododendron bushes, magnolias, and daffodils. The most popular attraction is the flying displays at the Hawk and Owl Centre, admire the incredible speed and grace of these beautiful birds of prey or experience close encounters with many bird species within their aviaries.

The Lake District is home to the inspirational Beatrix Potter, the world-famous children’s author, best known for The Tale of Peter Rabbit. Visitors of all ages will love the World of Beatrix Potter’s with delightful 3D exhibitions introducing you to the lovable characters including, Mr Tod in Tommy Brock’s house, Benjamin Rabbit eating Peter Rabbit’s lettuces and not forgetting the delightful Mrs Tiggy-winkle in her kitchen and Jeremy Fisher floating on his lily pad.
