MacDonald’s Doña Lola is a short walk to the small, coastal town of Sitio De Calahonda. This desirable town offers a taste of Andalusia charm with its white-washed houses nestled amidst lush green golf courses and beautiful beaches whilst the great selection of shops, restaurants, and bars are on-hand to entice visitors.
The Costa Del Sol is blessed with a Mediterranean climate and in the month of August visitors can enjoy long, sunny days with daytime and sea temperatures averaging 24 degrees C. What could be more perfect than the warm weather in beautiful surroundings and excellent accommodation?

If you prefer escape into the quiet, unspoilt villages offering a truly Spanish atmosphere.
MacDonald’s Doña Lola Resort won the Certificate of Excellence (2017) by satisfied TripAdvisor viewers for its superb facilities and fantastic location.
Take a short walk to Playa de Calahonda to enjoy the Blue Flag beach and discover the underwater world with Diving with Nic. Stroll along the boardwalk towards La Cala and stop off for a snack or refreshing drink in the many beach bars and cafes. Sitio De Calahonda is an ideal location to explore the South coast of Spain. Drive inland to discover the spectacular 15th-Century mountain city of Ronda, situated high above the El Tajo gorge. Cross the famous 120-metre Puente Nuevo stone bridge to enter the historical city and admire the views across the canyon.
There are plenty of things to do and many wonderful places to discover on the Costa Del Sol. The glamorous nearby town of Marbella is well worth a visit. Fuengirola and beyond
Fuengirola was once a tiny fishing village but is now a vibrant town offering a bustling atmosphere coupled with traditional Spanish charm along its narrow, cobbled streets leading to the main square, Plaza de la Constitución. Enjoy the 5-mile long beach at Fuengirola and at the west end of the beach discover the monumental Sohail Castle, throughout the summer months, theatre performances and music concerts are held at this historical building.
Gibraltar is approximately 95km from MacDonald’s Doña Lola and would be an incredible day out. Visit the legendary Rock of Gibraltar, on your way stop to admire the breath-taking views across the Strait of Gibraltar. Visitors can catch a cable car to the top of the Rock, wander around and take a photo of the cheeky resident monkeys as they entertain you in exchange for a small treat. Near the Rock, take the chance to visit the beautiful St Michael’s Cave, the stalactites and stalagmites formations are an unmissable sight.
MacDonald’s Doña Lola is the perfect holiday destination to relax and enjoy the fun activities and discover the amazing attractions along the Costa Del Sol.
