Brr! Snow in New Mexico?

In years gone by people came to Red River in search of precious Gold and Silver buried deep below. Nowadays, they come in search of the less elusive snowfall and the fantastic skiing that comes with it. February is the height of ski season during Red River winters and it certainly feels it! Positioned at 8,750 feet in altitude average temperatures reach a crisp -3 Degrees C, so remember to wrap up warm. With the chilly weather comes snow and the main reason why you’ve come to New Mexico in February. Just under 700mm of snow falls during this month and with nearly 5000mm expected annually you should be all set for a white winter.
